Love to ride my Harley (even in the cold weather), play bass in my bands ("LoFT" is one of them and is the #1 friend on my page.) I sub on bass occasionally for "Fade to Blues" and Gary Schwartz of "The Blue Rays" and I hit many different open blues jams all the time, support live music, go out to eat great food and
with friends, meet new people, read, watch the occasional movie, sleep in...It's all good!
Music
RUSH on TV on The Colbert Report:
My 1977 Alembic is my main axe now! The SOUND!
My 1981 G&L 1000
Serial number 975352. Well, I sold it to the Guitar Hanger. It deserves to be played and not stashed in my closet. I miss it but somebody will be cranking on it soon and that makes me feel better! I bought this Les Paul used from Alex Musical Instruments, NYC in 1975.
..
She left us WAY too soon! I imagine and hear her voice still singing to us and I become even more at peace with the world.
RIP Allen Woody ^ Your playing on "Mule" alone is enough to put you into bass player heaven. Thank You, brother!
Debbie Davies is the Real Deal! Saw her at the White Mountain Boogie and Blues Festival. She's got a great song about eating, her favorite pastime (SHE said), "crunchin', munchin', let's do luncheon" - lol! UPDATE: caught her act again this time at the Acoustic Cafe in Bridgeport July 19, 2008. Great show!
Rick Derringer - a "players" player! I saw him jam up close (I'm talkin' 3 feet away) with Jann Hammer at The Lonestar Cafe, NYC around 1980. They served up a smorgasbord of jamming like you wouldn't believe! How lucky was I to be there!
What a GIFT these people have bestowed upon us. And this is but a tiny sampling of the magic! Hey, look whose jammin' together now!
I love da Blues, Rock, R&B, Funk, Cajun, covers, JAMMING! Maybe writing again someday...Listening to and supporting LIVE MUSIC at all levels is one of the nicest things one can do while living; and ya get so much back! Recent concerts attended: Buddy Guy, Bela Fleck, Joe Bonamassa, Triple bill with The Outlaws, Marshall Tucker and Charlie Daniels and, just this past March 11, Los Lobos! OMG they PLAY! All I knew about was "Kiko and the Lavender Moon" and "La Bamba". David Hidalgo's voice and guitar improv is simply phenomenal. The sound of that band is impossible to classify. Go see them somewhere, sometime! Been to the White Mountain Boogie and Blues Festival 2 Augusts in a row (Debbie Davies, Tab Benoit, Albert Cummings, Shemekia Copeland, Dwight and Nicole, Ana Popovic, and so many more that I can't think of at the moment.)
I would love to see the Allman Bros., Gov't Mule, and Derek Trucks at the Beacon in May if anyone has extra decent seats!
Movies
..
I played the lead in one movie; you may have seen it. My best line was, "yippie ki A, MF'er"
Television
..
I don't have a cable hook-up or an antennae. I have the tube for DVD's only but I haven't even done that in over 2 years. And there's ZERO elitism going on here, folks! If I HAD cable I'd wind up looking like THIS guy because I wouldn't be able to STOP WATCHING! There must have been a TV on and inside with me when I was in the womb.
Books
..
I read all the time. Mysteries, thrillers, science fiction, biographies and all types of non-fiction. Walter Mosley and Ian Rankin are two of my favorite authors right now. A well acted and entertaining play is always a good thing. I recently saw "August: Osage County" on Broadway; you think YOUR family's disfunctional?!
Heroes
..
The fact that someone like Tal Wilkenfeld exists may finally cause me to re-examine my disbelief in the existence of a higher power. 21 years old and has scary talent. She's a friend on my page (and hundreds of thousands of others I'm sure) so check her out. Her solo on "Cause We've Ended As Lovers" with Jeff Beck
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIFFRHBCPzA)
live at the Crossroads Concert (and EVERYONE'S reaction to it) is magical and is something no music lover should miss! I listen and watch again and again. In fact, even if you are not a music lover, you could not fail to see and hear the HONESTY of that moment.
Tal Wilkenfeld
(if I'm not online I'll still get the message and pick it up next time)

I'm a genuine, mostly normal guy; kinda like these badasses:
But I behave in a much more gentlemanly manner!
This ALWAYS keeps me smiling!
But I'm only human and will at times get a little stressed (esp. when trying to edit this page!!):
And the magic cure for just about anything that bothers me?
Yep, that's right, it's my '06 Roadking FLHRC! Going from zero to 11,000 miles in 14 months solo and with my buds = happiness! S.B.B. last May in Myrtle! (must update this pic taken at 1000 miles, though, to show a few changes)
Who I'd like to meet:
THIS LADY RIGHT HERE!!! (just where IS she, anyway?)
..
And then we'd take off and never come back! (alright, just not right away)
And/or a certain type of game player:
Puhleeze! Geesh!!! I'm Just KIDDING!! But, then again, I might not be... Anyway, it's just carpenter humor!
AND, girls, musicians, girl musicians, musical girls and other fun, genuine, and somewhat normal women. Love and joy? That's why we're on the planet!

Cool thanks, "Sitting in My Room", if you learn it we'll play it. It's been awhile for me since I've played that one live.
I hate to be a stickler and correct you but, "I'm Bad I'm Nationwide" has a great beginning, middle AND End.
I'm just sayin' it's one of the greatest R&R tunes ever!!
Send me your e-mail again, privately of course and I'll send you a copy of my covers list if I need you. I'm sure you may have/know a lot of the tunes anyway.
