London-born Fionn Ó Lochlainn grew up watching his multi-instrumentalist father Ruan Ó Lochlainn play and record with artists like Ronnie Lane, Link Wray, and Ringo Starr...
Constantly surrounded by music, the young man had no choice but to become prodigious on as many instruments as he could, finally settling on mandolin, guitar, bass, piano and drums, adding saxophone to his arsenal after his father's death. At the age of 16 he hit the road, performing and recording with acts as diverse as Seal, Joe Cocker, Sinéad O'Connor and Andread Bocelli, all the while honing his own unique blend of Celtic-infused acoustic folk and Led Zeppelin/Jeff Buckley-inspired traditional rock and roll. His debut album, Spawn of the Beast was released in 2007. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
