Feldmann è un progetto di canzoni elettroacustiche. Blues e folk sono la radice delle composizioni che fanno capo a Massimo Ferrarotto e Tazio Iacobacci già attivi in altre indie band italiane (Loma, Tellaro, Pola, Cesare Basile).
Il primo album "Watering Trees", uscito per Stoutmusic, è stato registrato allo Zen Arcade di Catania, e poi missato da Cesare Basile, e vede la collaborazione di musicisti come Marcello Caudullo, Francesco Cantone, Marcello Sorge ed Emiliano Cinquerrui.
L'esordio discografico è caratterizzato dall'impronta lo-fi e dalla struttura fragile e intima, sempre con richiami al blues e al songwriting americano. Arpeggi minimali, batterie scarne, qualche slide guitar in lontananza sono il contorno di canzoni semplici, ma mai banali.
Attualmente, è in programmazione la registrazione di un nuovo Lp, prevista per Marzo 2008, ed in inverno la band sarà in giro per presentare il suo nuovo set live, molto piu ricco di sorgenti sonore. ..
Feldmann are two musicians from Catania. They ran this project about 2 years ago. In a couple of months they had collected more than eleven songs, released in 2006 by Stoutmusic.
This first full-lenght named “Watering trees” was recorded in Catania, at Zen Arcade studio with a very lo-fi equipment by the band.
“Watering trees” has guests such Cesare Basile, Marcello Caudullo, Marcello Sorge, Francesco Cantone and Emiliano Cinquerrui.
Recently the two-members band has changed the line-up becoming a trio with Elena Mascolino playing the drums, some toy-piano and drum machine.
The nice mix between guitars, Tazio’s and Massimo’s voice are predominant in “Come closer” and “A cup of tea”, their love for the blues explode in “Bloos 354” a very lo-fi recording (that characterize the entire album).
The structure is fragile, a song like “Golden ring” brings the listener to a very intimistic feeling that is present in all the tracks of the Lp.
In 2007 Feldmann come back to the duo formula and now they just finished the second Lp titled "Suicide Bridge" recorded with Hugo Race that will be released at the end of 2008.
This winter the band will be on tour the with their new live set enriched by new sounds, percussions and electronics.
