   About Fruits De Mer
The ideal - to release vinyl singles of music that floats our trawler.
This label is an act of Ffolly by Keith Jones and Andy Bracken, but there are times when you simply do a thing because it's right and proper.

The first sunken treasure has been hoisted from the depths and is a stunning cover of "Theme One" backed with an equally sparkling delight, "Ogden's Nut Gone Flake". Both are performed by SCHIZO FUN ADDICT in their inimitable style, and are a nod in homage to the originals by Van Der Graaf Generator and the Small Faces. You can BUY IT NOW via the button thing below, and it's all safe because it's Paypal and I like that, I do. Just $7.50 shipped to your door no matter where you live, just as long as it's on planet earth...

Coming this Autumn will be an equally limited coloured vinyl treasure by Alison O'Donnell of Mellow Candle and Graeme Lockett of Head South By Weaving. This lovely pair of talented sorts have collaborated on two very exciting tracks (well, I'm excited), namely: Nico "Frozen Warnings" and Nick Drake "Day Is Done". Seriously, you need this in your life. Click the picture below and drop us an email to reserve a copy because it looks set to fly out.

Wait, there's more... Hot on the heels of that little beauty will be a 3 tracker by Spanish band STAY. Again on coloured 7" vinyl and very limited, those Barca dwelling STAY amigos have only gone and nailed Graham Nash's "Chicago", Strawberry Alarm Clock's "Rainy Day Mushroom Pillow" and a little known band called the Rolling Stones and something about "2000 Light Years From Home". Dumme una 'copy of that' pour favore - eee, I'm fluent, me...get in touch to reserve.

Please come and visit us at »-(¯..v..¯)-» FRUITS DE MER WEBSITE «-(¯..v..¯)-« for ordering information.

Absolutely love the single - superb versions of both tracks. I actually had the VdGG "Theme One" played at my wedding, when we walked out of the ceremony hall. Lots of confused faces on the non-music-loving guests faces.

Fruits de Mer’s first single - latest reviews, hot off the...er...internet
"To coin Stanley Unwin's phrase "What a Mind Blast". This is precisely the point where psychedelia meets Prog Rock. An amazing production that's way up there with the original. I love it"

John Hellier Wapping Wharf magazine www. wappingwharf. com

"Showing a sense of adventure and a mark of respect, Schizo Fun Addict take on two cultish oldies and odditities and bring them alive and kickin' into the 00's"

Peter J Brown www. toxicpete. co. uk

"We must admit to loving this to pieces...the best band you've probably never heard of - Schizo Fun Addict - tangle themeselves up with two certified cherries from the past...much hallucinogenic acid tabs are dropped for the mind arranging psychonaut that is 'Theme 1' - deserving to be filed away alongside Owl Service's excellent 'cine'....flip the disc for the Small Faces' era-defining 'Ogden's Nut Gone Flake'...a supernatural Siren-esque pyche dipped gem...that to these ears sounds like some kind of studio face off between the Adult Net and Strawberry Switchblade - frankly kids how can you resist?"

Mark www. losingtoday. com

"The ultimate tribute...superb and very original...the best cover I've heard of a Small Faces track in years - awesome!! 10 out of 10."

Mick Taylor Small Faces Fan Club http://launch. groups. yahoo. com/group/SmallFaces/

"It's a cracker. Well chosen tunes, they work very well together and it's about time people were reminded how good that stuff was"
