Although this is certainly no easy task, Fat Daddy Has Been has successfully and seamlessly melded Hip-Hop, Soul, Reggae/Ska, and Rock into a completely original sound that they can truly call their own.
The 7 piece ensemble, which features a 3 piece horn section, guitar, percussion, bass, and lead vocals, cut its teeth while sharing stages with a variety of well known acts. These acts include Sean "P Diddy" Combs, Mary J. Blige, Ice-T, Kool Keith, Kurtis Blow, The Last Emperor, Aquarium Rescue Unit, The Toasters, Rusted Root, and Karl Denson.
While remaining independent, the collective's music has been in rotation on major-market commercial radio stations, including 93.7 WSTW, Wilmington, DE and 103.9 WOCQ, Salisbury, MD. Fat Daddy Has Been is a proven draw at venues from the Philadelphia to the Delaware Beach markets, including shows as distant as South Africa.
