Tony Anderson and his current sound could best be described by some as an acoustic rock/roots, alternative~country mix. With heavy doses of Dylan as his top influence, his soulful lyrics are backed and fueled through his street-raised, hard-driving guitar and harmonica rhythms & arrangements. Tony has been performing all over the country as a solo artist the last fifteen years._____________________________________________________________________
As a Los Angeles native Tony began performing on the Venice Beach Boardwalk three to four days a week beginning in 1991. By mid 1992 Tony would move to Portland, Oregon for what would amount to a three-and-a-half-year stay. During this time Tony performed in many of the acoustic venues the Portland music scene had to offer. Tony's full time gig was really playing downtown Portland's Pioneer square area and riverfront walk usually five days a week to what amounted to well over 1000 days street-performing by the time he returned to Southern California in January 1996. Tony's first three independent tape's & cd's are created during this time.______________________________________________________________________
March of 1996 brought Tony to Austin, Texas where he further honed his songwriting and street-performing skills by playing almost every weekend on Sixth street across from the historic Driskill Hotel. Tony performs in many of Austin's acoustic clubs and coffee shops at this time. It's also at this time Tony receives a sponsorship/endorsement from Lee Oskar harmonicas, which continues to this day. August 1997 to August 1998 Tony lives and performs in the French Quarter in New Orleans.
