"Lyrically guided songs revealing hidden sadness merged with instrumental prowess describes Fair Veronas debut, Three of Swords. - Towerlight Newspaper
In April of 2005, The band hit the studio to record their first ever E.P titled "Three of Swords" packed with songs of heartbreak, and remorse created around a style of driving acoustic guitars and piano based pop songs. A year later the 5 piece ensemble (Phil Moy-Lead Vocals/Guitar, Brad Collins-Bass, Laurie Mae-Vocals/Keys, Danny Hollis-Drums, and Mike Bridget-Guitar) was back in the studio pumping out new tracks for their sophomore album titled "Much Ado About Nothing". When it comes to making albums FV turns to nobody other than long time friend and engineer, Paul Leavitt (Senses Fail, Over It, All Time Low, Don't Look Down). "We are really excited about this new record. Working with Paul has always been a great experience for us, and I've been working with him since i was in high school. On this album we tried to do something we hadn't yet done before as musicians, and it came out better than we could have ever hoped for!" says singer/songwriter Phil Moy (former guitarist/singer songwriter of the late band Underscore out of Washington DC). In the fall of 2007, Fair Verona became a solo acoustic/r&b/pop rock act fronted by Phil Moy and is currently in the process of recording his junior album with Jacob Gemmell and vocalist Rika Gemmell. Be on the look out for new tracks coming this winter! ...influences include Straylight Run, Eisley, Taking Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional, and Brand New...

"Two Households, both alike in dignity. In Fair Verona, where we lay our scene-."
These infamous words penned in playwright William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" were so loved by lead singer/songwriter Phil Moy that he chose to name his band Fair Verona. Fortunately, their musical career has fared much better than the play's title characters.
Moy's love of music goes all the way back to his first concert experience: seeing Blink 182 at Merriweather Post Pavilion.
"When they came out and struck that first chord, the crowd went wild. You could feel the energy- and that moment I was like, 'Wow, that's what I want to do,'" he said. Moy bought his first guitar the very next week and has never looked back.
Fair Verona's musical inspiration comes from such artists as the Goo Goo Dolls, Bryan Adams. Straylight Run, Dashboard Confessional and Brand New.
Before Fair Verona, Moy and Collins formed a "super trendy pop punk band called Underscore." But they found their music wasn't being accepted by their desired audience.
"It was all fun and we are glad people liked it, but we got no respect from people our own age or older. No one took us seriously. We decided it was time to play music that we enjoyed now," Moy said.
Moy believes that the female dynamic adds to the band's sound. Their voices blend together to make aching, longing harmonies.
After coordinating schedules, the band found time to record a few demos, while playing benefit shows and other venues sharing the stage with bands such as: The Starting Line, Acceptance, Cartel, Motion City Soundtrack and many more.
Last August Fair Verona was on hand at the Warped Tour at Nissan Pavilion. Most recently, they played the Interpunk Flipside Festival in November 2005 at Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville, VA.
