EXTINCT - attitude (trailer for OlliEWOOD SK8SHOP : the one and only true Skateshop in Luxembourg-City)
In 2001, 5 young guys influenced by the local rock bands decided to form a punk band called EXTINCT. The first step was hard, exept Dan who played classical guitar nobody could play an instrument. So after having put some money together to buy the standard equipement the first rehearsals took place on February 2002. The first music sessions were rather chaotic but after a certain period of time the first songs were written. At this time Dario and Dan played guitar, Oli played bass, we had Tun as singer and Jérôme on the drums. So after some months of rehearsing the Streetpunk band from Olm (little village in the west of Luxembourg) had its first concert the 6th September 2002.
In May 2003, after several concerts in pubs and one big concert with the legendary Leftövercrack, Tun decided to leave the band in the best interest of the other band members. This was no reason to give up the band: Dario became the singer and Dan took over the role of the back vocalist, later that year, they got signed to Winged Skull Records.
Later in 2003 they hit the studio to record their first full length album Nobody cares, nobody changes, released in January 2004 on Winged Skull Records. The street-punk combo has got a lot of success with this album and their fanbase grew considerably. Followed Shows with Leftover Crack , The Krays, Stockyard Stoics and many many more.
In 2005, Giordano (brother of frontman Dario) became the new bass player of the band and about one year later they were ready to hit the studio to record their 2nd full lenght album KILL OR BE KILLED.
Infortunately, bass player Giordano decided to quit the band some time later 'cause beside EXTINCT, he was member of three other bands and it was hard to find a lack of time for rehearsals.
After some relexions, the band was happy to welcome Seb (Nervous Chilling) as new bass player. From March 07 on, the band was finally complete again and was proud to celebrate its 5 years of existence.
Yes dudes!!! The band is not EXTINCT.....at least not yet!!:-)

REACHING HAND (Lisbonne – Portugal) www. myspace. com/reachinghand Groupe formé il y a juste un an et déjà très actif. A quoi attendre d’un groupe portugais ? du old school évidement ! et du bon. Ca a évolué un peut par rapport a leurs prédécesseurs X ACTO, TIME X, POINTING FINGER. C’est moins youth crew. Musicalement, Je dirais que c’est à mi chemin entre le youth crew revival de 98 (FLOORPUNCH, IN MY EYES, TEN YARD FIGHT etc…) et la vague moderne actuelle (COMEBACK KID, ANOTHER BREATH etc…) avec l’originalité de la voix féminine. Les paroles parlent de la vie, faire les bons choix, les monsieurs je sais tout, savoir choisir son chemin….
YOUSSOUF TODAY (Rouen – France) http://youssouftoday. c. la/ ne vous fiez pas au apparences c’est moins youth crew et plus rapide que le jeu de mot du nom du groupe. C’est même carrément fast, pensez à VITAMIN X, LIMP WRIST avec des paroles fun qui traite avec humour des poseurs de boite, de la scène, du DIY., etc… Ca dégage une super énergie en live !

Pourquoi 50 centimes de chaque entrée de ce concert seront reversés à Greenpeace ? Comme on dit si tu veux changer quelque chose commence par toi-même… Je suis un peu blasé de voir la scène punk hardcore locale mais aussi en général devenir de plus en plus une scène seulement « musicale » c'est-à-dire avec de moins en moins de messages et d’actions actions positives. C’est sensé être plus que de la musique non ?
J’ai donc décidé de « profité » de ce concert pour venir en aide financièrement à une cause qui me touche : l’environnement
Greenpeace est une organisation non violente, internationale, indépendante des Etats, des pouvoirs politiques et économiques. Son but est de dénoncer les atteintes à l'environnement et d'apporter des solutions qui contribuent à la protection de l'environnement et à la promotion de la paix
La somme reversée suite à ce sera concert aussi minime soit elle permettra de soutenir les nombreuses actions menées par Greenpeace. Je t’invite à prendre connaissance de ces acti
