Ornate pressed metal ceilings and stained glass windows adorn the main public bar giving patrons a taste of old world feel of pub life in the past. While the upstairs Wintergarden Room is an elegantly designed lounge bar in a total contrast.
On October 31, the boundary between the alive and the deceased dissolves and Young & Restless storm Adelaide for their first headline show in over a year at the Transmission LIVE! Halloween Special.
With Local heros Fire! Santa Rosa Fire! & Mad Shapes with support from DJs Kane & Ross Ross Ross this night will be out of control!

TRANSMISSION MELBOURNE IS GO GO !! Transmission is a monthly indie night that started in Adelaide in 2004 set up by local DJs looking to provide a once a month night of pure indie dance with no slow burners, so the focus is on dancefloor killers that are not too tired or predictable. We play older tunes as well as the latest stuff we can find to keep the nite fresh each and every month.
August 22nd will be the first Transmission in Melbourne in the WinterGarden room upstairs @ the Exford hotel on Russel st. (Chinatown) We want to make it the best and most dancable monthy Indie nite in Melbourne!!

One of melb's best rockin pubs, many a good times spent there! Glad how the place has'nt changed too much over the years and what has changed has been for the better! The carlton pub used to be the place we'd crawl to after the exford shuts had'nt been there in ages and man did i get a suprise recently when i saw the new look of the place, major spin out! Thinkin now we better be on the look out for some more late night pubs for after the exford, Hosies is'nt too bad, chicks in for free but heehe not exactly a pub hey! xox
Ahhh the Exford hotel. Of all the hotels called the Exford Hotel within the Melbourne CBD you would have to be my favourite. I know I should apologise for being on stage naked that one night but what the heck, I feel it lifted the classiness of the pub just a hint. Love drinking and being silly there.
