Evolution Records was set up in 1991 By Mark Pritchard and Tom Middleton.
The name for the Label was inspired by a Carl Craig track on Fragile recordings.
The Original 12"s were very limited Ev001/002 500,
Ev003 1200, Ev004 750, Ev005 750, Ev006 1000, Ev007 200.
The label later morphed into Universal Language recordings Launching the careers of Matthew Herbert as Wishmountain, The Horne, Jedi Knights, Mod Wheel, Pulusha and releasing records by Gerd, La synthesis, Reload, Danny breaks, Chaos and julia set, Secret ingredients, N.Y Connection and Series 7.
