In the summer of 1978 Everybody's Records opened its doors to the music loving population of Cincinnati, Ohio. Located in Pleasant Ridge, Everybody's specialized in buying and selling for cash or trade of used records and cassettes. In time, the store began to stock new albums along side its excellent selection of used product. The small one-owner shop set itself apart from other stores with its stock of selected import and label albums. Everybody's quickly established a reputation as the best record store in the area, all the while maintaining independent ownership. The full stock of new and used records, CDs, and cassettes strengthened Everybody's reputation as the place to go for music enthusiasts and record collectors in Cincinnati. Music lovers come from all over the globe to shop at Everybody's. After 25 years Everybody's selection has grown to include rap, reggae, rock, jazz, soul, blues, punk, indie, hardcore, country, bluegrass and gospel music as well as a vast selection of local artists to choose from. We pride ourselves on our ability to please any music fan, regardless of their preferences. Everybody's Records is and will continue to be the best independent record store in Cincinnati!
Bruce Springsteen (The Boss)
"I buy CDs all the time. I'll go into a record store and just buy $500 worth of CDs. I will! I am singlehandedly supporting what's left of the record business.
I hate to see record stores disappear, and I'm old-school in that I think you should pay for your music. But what my kids do is download a lot of things, pay for them, and then if they love something, they'll get the CD. That may be the future.”
Elizabeth Cook
"Record stores are the hippest libraries. In these tired ole days of homogenized entertainment, where so much of the art of our society is culminated, dumbed-down and mass produced, there is a shining jewel in the rise of the indy record stores. Going to a record shop for me is like a little treasure hunt no one can take you on but yourself. It's fun to look around and see the other shoppers too...totally entrenched in their own adventure, anticipating the reward of heart wrenching, soul filling, joy making music that might just be a bin or a flip away."
Chuck Berry
"Music is an important part of our culture and record stores play a vital part in keeping the power of music alive"
