   About Euston Piret
Ray Russell has not performed under the name "Euston Piret" since the 1980s when he sang in The Trug Concept and the rarely-seen Kevin and the Anoraks (playing in both guises in the early days of Brighton's Zap Club). A founder member of the late, lamented The Bollweevils, he has long since given up trying to sing. These pseudo-songs have been put together when he is meant to be working, running the Tartarus Press.

It clearly wasn't a well researched book then was it! What sort of cruddy authors do you associate with? I suppose he is now working on the history of the Cavern but hasn't included the Beatles. Yeah, like that's comparable. If you don't remember Tuesday nights at the Zap, then you weren't there man, or something. Bet he hasn't even got the breast feeding woman or that bloke who played the same song everyweek but with a different instrument. Captain Stupid! What WAS that about?

Like the new tune Ray! Hope you can make it over to Sheff soon - we've got a few gigs coming up (now with Dickie on drums - kind of a timeshare with Don't sleep Dream). Saw the Japanese import yesterday for the first time! A proud/surreal moment! Anyway - take care Mr Piret -hope to see you soon!! Sarah XX

Saw your look-a-like Lloyd Cole in concert last night, just him and an acoustic guitar in a small venue of about 200 people, fantastic. Not as miserable as you might think.

Hello Sir
Thank you for all your good work over the years with Tartarus.
I can still remember the days – not so very long ago – when not one Machen volume was available in print, and now…
So thank you again
