New Salsa sounds coming from the Old Continent !!!
EUROPA SALSA is an alliance between european salsa bands (see left side for current members list)...
* European salsa bands are starting to make their own salsa recipes, mixing traditional afro-cuban sounds and new yorkese salsa with such varied influences as ska, waltz, funk, soul, ragga, reggae, flamenco, zouk, samba or celtic music !
* These bands sing mostly in spanish but use more and more languages such as english, french, swedish, finnish, turkish, german, hebrew or russian !
* Another interesting feature is that european bands do not really care about barriers between styles and rivality between "ethnic" groups : they are not borinquen (resp. cuban, resp. colombian) bands who play for exclusively borinquen (resp. cuban, resp. colombian) audiences...
Now the music featured on this page is changed as often as possible to reflect the variety of new european salsa sounds !
Projects of this alliance include :
1 immediate : sharing information between members and helping each others in getting gigs in other countries
2 medium term : producing a EUROSALSA compilation
3 medium term : organising the 1st EUROSALSA festival
The information exchanges between bands are organised in SALSA EUROPA private group forum. Any european salsa band can apply to this group provided they supply information (own contacts, booking agents, distributor, etc..) and not only search info, and also place Salsa Europa in their top friends ;)...

Current members of this private group are highlighted in yellow color on this page, placed in top position of the friends list, and their music will be featured in priority in the Salsa Europa music player.
