Saved Tonight
Erica Lane creates songs that not only display a blend of musical genres and overlaying harmonies but also capture the wonder of our creator through intense, resonating lyrics. While growing up in north central Texas, she was influenced by a wide variety of artists from contemporary to classical, fusing styles that she loved into her own way of composing today. A former Miss Houston and graduate of Texas Tech University, she studied opera with soprano Kathy McNeil, performed at the Miss Texas Pageant on multiple ocassions, and was featured on Johnnie High's Country Music Review. With notable performances at venues such as Life Light Festival (Artist Ovation winner), The Promise at Glenrose, Sam Houston Raceway, Embassy Club, Camden House of Beverly Hills, Moondance Awards Gala, and St Paul's Cathedral in London (ensemble), along with featured music on soundtracks of over half a dozen film and television projects, she has earned her status as a respected independent artist of her genre. More importantly, she is compelled to bring a message of hope to the hurting and troubled as well as a deep connection to God's spellbouding beauty. Erica reflects her sincerity of that message by giving free concerts at venues across the US, and she has been known to give away music during her tour for whatever amount individuals can afford.

Hey Erica!! Remember me? The girl with the ear problem in January this year? Sorry I have not talked with you in a while..I have been so busy. Just wanted to give you a praise report and thank you sOOOO much for all of your prayers for me. God has given me grace and mercy with regard to my hearing. My ear only rings when I am tired..maybe it's His way of telling me to slow down. My hearing also gotten better in that ear, so both my ears are okay now, except for when I get tired, and in the mornings when I wake I am sensitive to volume for the first hour, then I am fine..*sigh*Most importantly....I can still sing-PRAise God!!! I praise Him for allowing me to use the gift He has given me to glorify Him. Would love to chat with you sometime. I am possibly going to be giving sining lessons at my congregation for some of the worship team. I'll be checking out your techniques on youtube for that! Blessings..talk to you soon!
I watched your vocal tips vids on youtube and noticed that a few had left comments that they knew the difference in the head and chest voice, but were not sure how to make the transition from one to the other while singing. I have this same issue. Will you address this sometime in another video?
Wassup, thanx for being our friend...check out the music and if you haven't yet, and don't forget to sign the guestbook. If it's not too much trouble vote for us on ygea.net as top Holy hip hop artist of the year!!!! Love Ya!!!
"Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." "Jeremiah 15:20 And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD. 21 And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible." "Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."
God's promise to Isaiah & Jeremiah carries over to us today. When you dedicate your heart to serve God in whatever way you are capable of and in turn strive for the heart of a servant that Jesus Christ had toward us. Then you will see in your life evidence of the heritage of a servant of the LORD. You will see God's deliverance & protection, and His providence to you is your witness to the world that our God has made you in all things more than a conqueror because you serve Him. ""Isaiah 42:13 The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies."
"James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways."
Be joyful when you are under attack and realize that attacks form the adversary teaches us patience and patience increases our faith in God. As our faith (believing) increases we begin to become perfect and entire. We want nothing because God supplies our everything. The only thing that stands between asking and receiving is doubt. We can not waver between doubt and believing. If we allow our minds to fall into this trap we will not receive the things we ask God for.
