Who I'd like to meet:
How To Play.
Eugene Rugby is always recruiting talented rugby players, young and old. Are you a collegiate player, do you play overseas, or are you looking to move to the Eugene/Springfield area? Do you want to be a member of a first-rate rugby program? Is a high quality of life important to you?
If so, consider Eugene, Oregon and Eugene Rugby Club. A&E Television recently ranked Eugene as America's seventh most liveable city. We are members of the Pacific Northwest RFU and Pacific Coast RFU. We are currently playing Division III in the Pacific Northwest and are looking to move up to Division II, but cannot do so until we can field two full sides.
Potential players -- with or without previous rugby experience -- request more information or check out Eugene, Oregon for yourself.
Housing/Employment: Eugene Rugby Club will not guarantee employment or housing to potential players. However, we will assist in finding you affordable housing and setting it up for you in a convenient fashion (as we are here and you are not). Without knowing what sort of accomadations you require, here is some basic information: To live by yourself, the most affordable studio (one room with private kitchenette or shared kitchen space with 4 other rooms in a common area) is about $350-$450 per month, with all utilities paid. You could also rent a room or share accomadations with someone for $300 (you pay/split utilities) on up. Minimum wage in Oregon is $7.50 an hour. At minimum wage (after taxes), you'd have to work a job at least 16 hours per week just to cover rent. Visit our local newspaper's classifieds section for specific examples.
Please email recruit@eugenerugby.com to request additional information or to introduce yourself and express your interest in playing (no experience necessary). We look forward to meeting you!
