Last month Element announced the ECOllaboration project we did with bike manufacturer Krabo. Only five of these bikes were made, and now two are available to bid on at eBay! All proceeds from the sale go directly to an environmental non-profit researched and approved by 1% for the planet.

AMSTERDAMN AM
A handful of Element riders from around the globe skated in last weekend's AmsterDamn Am contest. Element Europe riders Ruben Rodrigues and Madars Apse placed well, finishing 5th and 6th respectively. Collin Provost took 12th despite injury that kept him from skating in the finals. The Europe contest season is definitely in full swing, with a big event just about every week. Congrats to Element Europe rider Jo Lorenz who just got back from Slamtrick in Ravenna Italy, where he won the Best Trick contest with a nollie flip back 50 down the hubba. ELEMENT AV AWARDS
Element invites you to enter your video, music, and art into the first annual element audio visual awards. this competition is meant to support a new generation of musicians, film-makers, and artists. The Element av awards is open to entrants worldwide.

Pirkka, Michael, Gauthier, Ruben and Guillaume went to the North of France for infamous Battle of Normandy the last week of June. It's a team filming/photo contest. Apparently it was quite fun. The coverage will be released in a special issue of Soma, the French skate magazine. Photos and videos about this journey very soon!
Still in Normandy, the boys went to Rouen for the King of Wood contest. Guillaume took first place and the 2500€ price money in the bowl comp, Ruben killed the street course in the finals and Pirkka pleased the crowd with a nice backside bigspin down the big double set during the best trick competition. PIRKKA POLLARI ON ELEMENT SHOES
We're proud to announce that from today Pirkka Pollari will be skating element shoes, which means he's representing element from head to toe together with Michael Mackrodt, Guillaume Mocquin, Ruben Rodrigues and Bas Janssen.
Pirkka has been very active lately, traveling non stop, ripping every spot he hit and we are happy to welcome him on element shoes.

7th issue of the Element skatecamps, presented by Element Skateboards and Hall04 et Cie. This unique journey will take you sessioning at the infamous spots of Bilbao and it's surroundings. You'll share your sessions with skaters from Spain, France, Germany & UK, and with the best skaters of the European Element team.
Lucien Clarke has been in London lately filming a share section with his friend Steph Morgan for the Slam city skates video. He is going to Philadelphia in April for a month for another filming mission.
After 2 months in Barcelana, Pirkka is back to Finland. From what we heard he’s been practicing tre flip front crooks hard on the EA Skate game and spent quite some good times at the indoor park in Helsinki and at his friends miniramp.
Jo is just back from a little Gispy trip to the south of France, Monaco and Italy filming for our upcoming europe video with Yves.
Evelien twisted her knee ligaments and broke her wrist while on tour with Etnies 2 weeks ago. She is back in Belgium now and slowly recovering. Evelien is now doing an internship work in a business for school… Get well soon Evie!
Janne is busy with his architectural studies and the Gijon skatepark project lately.

I m still in Vietnam right now.
We have been traveling Vietnam from north to south, Cambodia from the deep centre to the southern beaches. It’s been -and still is- a nice adventure and I found many skatespots.
we have been traveling in fucked up buses, nice trains, small boats and motorbikes to discover as much as possible.
My friends Dany Hamard (skater), Kevin Metallier (photographer) and Pat Wallner (filmer) have joined the trip couple of weeks ago.
We shoot fotos for the french Sugar magazine and the new german Place mag. For that, my friends and I met in Saigon and explored the spots I found during my first stay in the city. After a while we got sick of getting kicked out many times and of the millions of motorbikes everywhere in the capital that we decided to move on.
So last week we traveled up north to skate some more virgin curbs in a small city.
I hope you can see the fotos asap.
I am going home to Berlin on feb. 26th.

Jo, Michael and myself arrived in Athens 2 days ago, we skated in and around the city by ourself, got couple nice clips for the vid. We woke up at 4am this morning to catch our flight to Cyprus. We flew to Larnaka with our greek friends: they went straight from the club to the airport to the plane... Now we are in Nicosia, the Capital. The city is divided in half. one half by the greeks, the other one by the Turkishs, you have to get trough a check point show your passport to go from one side of the city to the other... It's 26° over here, not bad for november! There is actually a demo - contest here tomorrow. Demo for Micha and Jo and contests for the kids; sweet! It will be located in the oldtown of Nicosia, start at 1pm.

Julien Benoliel, Guillaume Mocquin are back from a trip to the Northwest of the US. They drove from Portland to Lincoln City to Seattle along with Brent, Levy, Provost in order to get photos for an upcoming Skateboard mag article and some clock some footage with Yves for the upcoming element europe video. As you can see below, Julien took a bad slam trying a backside boneless in the deep end of a pool... scary. get well soon Julien

Yves (our filmer) is traveling non-stop for our upcoming video: he is in Zurich right know filming with Sebastian and he will go to Berlin next Monday to get more done with Michael.

Most of the european team joined together this weekend to enter the European Skateboard Championships in Basel. We began the weekend with the element party at the Summer Casino with a screening of a little promo video and a trailer our our upcoming full length video that is expected in summer 2008.
Evelien ended 2nd at the women street finals, Ruben Rodrigues was less lucky with his 6th place but ripped it all weekend long, Guillaume Mocquin ended 4th at the bowl and Julien Benoliel 2nd who amazed everybody with his Frontside nose grind on the big extension in the bowl.

Bad news... Bas Janssen broke is ankle a few days ago. It's broken in 2 places,10 screws, plate, 6 to 8 weeks off the board at least... Get well soon brother!
