EastX's Interests
|
| General | I want to go to Japan, where I'll watch some movies and anime, play video games, buy a few toys, maybe read a book and some magazines, whilest drawing and painting, and practicing photography. | | Music | Bad Religion is my favorite band ever - I've got all their DVDs and almost every CD. I almost never miss 'em when they come to Houston, and you shouldn't either.
Ramones were truly awesome in their day.
The Vandals put on the best show I've ever seen.
Few cover bands rock as much as Me First and the GImme Gimmes.
| | Movies | Secretary is the most romantic movie I've ever seen. Lost in Translation and Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind are right up there too.
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut is the funniest animated one, while Borat takes the cake for live-action. Clerks 1 and 2 are about me though.
The Crow 1 and 2 are great revenge stories - so is 2004's The Punisher. Can't love on comic-book movies without mentioning V for Vendetta's eloquence.
Pleasantville is just beautiful. Hero is the same way. American Beauty, what's that?
Fight Club rocks.
Pan's Labyrinth is so sad and lovely.
My favorite anime would be Spriggan, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer. | | Television | Cartoons are funny. Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, the first three seasons of Family Guy, Futurama, Harvey Birdman, and Dexter's Laboratory are more fun to watch than just about anything else. Paint drying, I'm looking at you! Oh, but I have to mention Chappelle's Show and Reno 911 because they're clever too.
When I'm not watching comedies, I like imaginative stuff like Tales From the Neverending Story, Fushigi Yuugi, and Urusei Yatsura. | | Books | The Neverending Story, written by Michael Ende, is a timeless classic.
The Throne of Bones by Bryan McNaughton is eerie and sexy at the same time.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy by Douglas Adams is as funny as it gets.
Mike Nelson's Movie Megacheese and The Onion: Our Dumb Century are also freakin' hilarious.
My favorite author is Robert A. Heinlein, whose The Moon is a Harsh Mistress and Starship Troopers are especially memorable.
When I start reading a book, I really don't want to stop. | | Heroes | Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird for creating something or other. |

About me:
I am broken, but I still work. There is some use for me, I assure you.
School's my big thing right now. I'm studying to be a high school English teacher. I graduated from Brazosport College and now attend University of Houston Clear Lake. I started college really late, but at least I'm doing it!
Last August my baby India Sayori was born. She lives with her mom Tamara; we still get along very well. My son Ethan is somehow older than me, and he lives with me too. His mom Laurie is on the lamb, darn her black heart! I know, shame on me for being a baby machine... But two kids is plenty. I might just leave it at that.
In the past, I have actively volunteered for the Japan America Society of Houston and the American Cancer Society. I used to put on local concerts, but I haven't done that for a while. Hey, it's expensive!
The videogame side of me
Check out my videogame and DVD collection, will ya? Yes, I am a mad collector and packrat.
My Xbox 360 has a blog. It's crazy.
I have written many FAQs and strategy guides for GameFAQs and IGN. Check them out here.
I always wished I could be more of a creative writer than a technical one, but you have to play to your strengths.

Who I'd like to meet:
If your profile is set to private, send me a message before you ask to be my friend. I consider the people on my list to be my actual friends, so I'm not adding people who I know nothing about. I also delete people that never leave comments or send messages... What's the point of that?
While I'm being picky, I would prefer you to be local unless you think we would really hit it off. I'm afraid of sharks, snakes, spiders, and rappers, so all of the above should stay far away.
