Me Geek Pretty One Day, Doc Pop's debut solo album, is out now. Read more about it on DrownRadio.com!
Drown Radio Therapy has been my solo project since '94. It's gone through many phases and I've thought about coming up with different names for the different styles I do, but for now I just lump it all under Drown Radio Therapy.
One constant seems to be the usage of toys. When I was sixteen I was recording songs with my guitar, a casio sk-5, and my radio shack karoake machine.
Most of the stuff I've been doing in the last 6 months is entirely electronic, but based of off samples that I've created with circuit bent instruments and the like.
I'm also very found of creating sample kits using unusual sounds, for instance my fave drum kit is entirely built out of Jim Henson saying the word "performance".
Drown Radio will never be more than a hobby, I realized very early on I didn't have what it takes to do this for a living, so I feel free to do whatever the hell I feel like at any given time. It's just an outlet for me. That being the case, hardly anything on here will ever be mixed very well, or perfected. For the most part, this is just a place for me to upload demos of whatever sounds are going through my head. Email me any questions.

"The test of the integrity of a poem, or any work of art, may be, simply: does it lead, in the end, to freedom, or does it merely expand the arena of confinement? A voice from the outside, truly, is what we need to hear. Even a single word. Even something that is not a word, but suggests such a word."
Your album is nice. From what I've heard probably the best of the bunch. If you wouldn't have hit the speed bumps you might have made our efforts look a little less respectable.
Well, I would suggest The Sound for one, but I don't think that would work too well without beefy. Hmm... I'd have to say:
Happy Valium Robot friend(its been growing on me) Nerdcore Posse verse Doc Tub of tabasco(Your verse, of course)
Other than those, its hard to suggest much, unless you wanted to do songs with no lyrics. The stephen hawking diss song is pretty decent, but I'd only put it in if nothing better came around.
I love the boobs in a box instrumentals, but the lyrics just don't do it for me(besides, its two people). Anyways, this is going on things that just have you. If there were other artists... well, I'd have to rethink that list.
Do you think you could do me a favor? My friend Brian has entered a competition on MySpace for his short film. Its about a kid whose parents are in the porn industry. Its hilarious. It would mean a ton to mean if you checked out the movie and gave it a thumbs up booyah in the box below the video.
