2006 brings Doug's second release as a solo artist, and once again there will be a cover tune or two, but mostly this record consists of original songs. The first half of the CD will be big production pop/rock tunes, not dissimilar from "go on..." and the second half will be all acoustic, just piano or guitar with vocal. New songs include "From Now On", "Home", and "Harder To Believe Than Not To", along with covers of Dylan's "Gotta Serve Somebody" and Barenaked Ladies "When I Fall."

I wish you coulda been there. but i think in someways you all were. i also wish you could tell me if ol' carl-ray made it up that way... Been going through a-lot lately, and sometimes I wish things were reversed. I am glad I have you looking down on me from above though. Sometimes I can hear your voice, "keep your head up" I know you are up there having a good time, and I hope to see you soon.
You're still on my mind. When does this all end-The pain and anger I somtimes feel? The sermons dont comfort me, and reminiscing only gets me so far. You deserved better, I only hope you are happy and at peace.

Hope you are looking down on us and enjoying your stay up there. It has been over 2 months but seems like a life time since you've gone. I sometimes wonder if you can hear me, and I hope you can. Hi Doug! I wanted to thank you for letting me be a part of you and Michelles life. I remember a long time ago, you invited a group to come to our Church. They came and sang and after Church, like always you, Michelle, the Pastor and the group were going out to lunch. Ron and I, who were not part of the "in crowd" were on our way to our car to leave for home and you and Michelle ask us to come. I think the Pastor was a little shocked but you didnt care. You never saw "the clicks". All you saw were friends. Thank you for that. I miss you and still compare all singers to you. Oh coarse none of them even come close.
Well I have thought about you alot lately. I miss our weekly discussions on AI and tonight they are announcing the winner. You told me a long time ago that it was going to come down to Katherine and Taylor and you were right. I miss you my friend. Have a great time singing for the Lord with your dad.
