The Doppler Affect began as a studio recording project. After so many praising reviews of the recorded material, five of the members decided to present their material to the public; live! The Doppler Affect Band was born.............
Shortly after taking their show on the road, in March of 2001, this band has been performing to standing room only crowds since. The response from each audience was nothing short of spectacular. They loved The Doppler Affect!
Doppler Affect quickly built a huge following and loyal fan base. The rapid growth and success of this band can be credited to their skillfully written, rhythmic foot stomping original songs. Utilizing a three guitar attack, the hard driving guitar riff laden music complements the spectacular voice of lead vocalist and front man Billy Postle.
Based in Apollo, Pa USA, the band is comprised of musicians from in and around the Pittsburgh area. Their influences and styles vary a great deal. From rock, country and blues, to jazz. Each member brings his own style and sound to the band. With five such diverse musicians, they have collectively created a style and sonic quality unique only to the Doppler Affect.
Reviewers, like themselves, could not pigeon hole this band into any one genre of music. It has been described as a pleasant blend of country rock and country, with the flair of southern rock. Hence the term "Outlaw Rock". The Doppler Affect Band has been dubbed as the original creators of "Outlaw Rock".

With over 130 years of collective experience, the members of Doppler Affect are seasoned musicians. Performers such as; Leslie West of Mountain, Greg Allmond, Charlie Daniel's, Humble Pie, Al Martino, Johnny Costa, and most of the popular local bands, just to mention a few. The list goes on and on.

We had several track's sore to 1 on MP3.com in the Pittsburgh, state, and national charts.
We accomplished this in more than one genre. There are more than 1,000,000 tracks on this Internet site!
We entered "the final count down" on garagebands.com with one track. This was quite an accomplishment considering there were more than 34,000 track's in our genre alone! Several more of our tracks are rapidly rising to the top of the charts there also.
Appeared at most of the bars and clubs in the local area, with great success.
Entertained at some of the most desirable venues in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. This includes the Apollo Moon Landing fire works night where there was an estimated 14,000 people in attendance. Also Bobby Dales, Jimmy G's, Harrisburg Holiday Inn, The Ski Lodge at Treasure Lake, Nicks Fat city, The Lava Lounge, several community days events, carnivals, festivals, and much more.
Performed at the 2001 NASCAR race in Bristol Tenn. There are more planed in the future.
Performed live on WDVE Radio more than one time. This is the most listened radio station in the region! Also, it is voted the most popular morning show in the country!
Receive air play on some of the regions most popular radio stations. This includes WDVE, Froggy, MEGA Rock and others.
Performed at the infamous "White Trash Wedding" for WDVE Radio. This was a live, on location promotional stunt for the radio station. This was a HUGE event!
April 2002, performed for the 1st WDVE World Tour at Shad Hanna's, New Castle. We performed live music broadcast on the radio for this event.
May 2002, opened for The Charlie Daniels Band at the Washington Co. Rib Fest.
June 2002, Thunder in the Valley, Johnstown. There are 30,000 people expected to attend.
July 2002, Westmoreland Co Twin Lakes Festival. Not one, but two dates!
Several major record companies has expressed their interest in us.

Our CD release party at Bobby Dales, Greensburg. WDVE Radio personalities were on hand to help celebrate the event.

As of January 2003, the bands management in Sun City Arizona is negotiating with several record labels.
