About me:
www.philokanephotography.com
iced coffee words

I am a photographer born and bred in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I take photographs as a way of documenting life. I love people and get joy from watching their interaction.

As I child I always wanted to live somewhere else, anywhere else. Though I began to see the city through a different light when I spent a few months away in 2005.

Music has always been my biggest love and it is through this that started photographing the great number of local unsigned talent.

So now I have combined my three loves; music, people and photography.

I have had much of my work published in local magazines and newspapers, including AU magazine, as well as working with many bands in producing quality photographs.

I provide many services such as:
band photoshoots
live photos
cd artwork
tour/studio documentary

I have a small selection of my work on this page as well as my portfolio at
www.philokanephotography.com

I update my Flickr stream regularly: www.flickr.com/photos/philokane/

This gig is to raise money for the Theatre Knights' performance of Reservoir Cats, an all-female version of Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs which will be performed in Belfast's The Black Box from 13th-16th May. The play will in turn be donating profits to the Belfast Rape Crisis Centre which has been in danger of closure since the Government withdrew funding.

Tuesday 15th April Clements Acoustic presents:

Emer O’Neill

After what seems like months of playing at Common Grounds, The Knights of the Round Table nights at The Pavilion and The Rotterdam Bar Acoustic Sessions we finally get Emer O’Neill to play in Clements!

Belfast born and raised, Emer is a 25 year old singer/songwriter/architectural technician who is trying to make her own way in this industry and connect with people through her sincere approach to music.

“The gumption for this mad adventure comes from my love for music and guitars... yep, sad as it is I LOVE the sound of a guitar. I love making guitars, I love just tapping the wood and hearing the tone echo out. I love watching other guitarists and being inspired to learn more. I love experimenting with different tunings; different techniques and just letting my hands go nuts. I guess a lot of it is just down to good old instincts and being patient, as I figure it all out.“
