Influences	most types of music. mainly hip hop that i grew up listening to from the mid 80's to the mid 90's and all sorts of 60's & 70's music. prolific artists like james brown & herbie hancock and also many not so prolific or famous artists who have made music that i've bought over the years of searching for 'breaks' and things to sample.
Sounds Like	my music doesn't really sound like other modern day stuff.its mostly inspired by 80's & early 90's hip hop and late 60's/early 70's funk,rock,jazz etc.

NEW DJ FORMAT'S FUNKY PEOPLE REMIX 7"(SPEEDOMETER)- i've just remixed 2 songs by top uk funk band SPEEDOMETER and the 7" vinyl is available now on freestyle records. NO MAN WORRIES was my favourite song on speedometer's FOUR FLIGHTS UP lp and it was a tribute to lyn collins so it only seemed right that i should borrow more JAMES BROWN music and complete the tribute with this classic breaks remix. on the b-side is THE REAL ME. it is a more down tempo number that was also taken from speedometer's four flights up lp. it was loosely inspired by a classic lyn collins song so i gave it the same 'classic breaks' treatment but this time not just james brown's music.
