Cecily's Interests
|
| General | I saw a desert tortoise in the wild yesterday. What a metaphor for writing a book. Keep moving, focus on the little patch of ground in front of you, pull your head in from time to time, and then keep going. In the process of creating a website for my jewelry (www.Cecilyrockspearls.com) - hope to have it up in October of 2008. On the Board of Directors for an aerial trapeze dance company here in Tucson, Zuzi! www.ZUZImoveit.org Nature - being outside.

Cecily's Blurbs |
About me:
I am working on a biography of MARK SANDMAN of Morphine, Treat Her Right, Pale Brothers, Hypnosonics, Prophecy 3, Supergroup, Candy Bar, Sandman, Deep Six, Kid Shilleen and the Gold Pan Jug Band, etc. He collapsed on stage in Palestrina, Italy on July 3, 1999 in the middle of a Morphine concert. His mother, Guitelle Sandman has recently self-published a book called "Four Minus Three: A Mother's Story" about the loss of her three sons. It's available @ Amazon.com.
I host a radio show on KXCI, 91.3 FM from 10am-12pm on Fridays and the occasional Live @ 5. It's always a pleasure to hear the touring troubadours perform in Studio 2a. www.KXCI.org - webstream live 24/7. Best community radio station in the world.
I was born in Venezuela and lived there until I was 12. Big fan of Los Amigos Invisibles.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone who thinks they can help me with my Mark Sandman biography. If you were a friend, fellow musician, or have a story about him or a Morphine experience or a huge Treat Her Right fan, please send me a message. I have been trying to find a guy called Nuno in Spain who had a band called Grace so anyone who knows anything about him - help!
Send music in to KXCI. Our website www.KXCI.org. We webstream so you can listen in from anywhere in the world. Send 2 CD's to Duncan Hudson, Music Director, KXCI 91.3 FM, 220 S. 4th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85701 (520) 623-1000. The request line is 520-622-KXCI/5924. KXCI is listener supported, volunteer driven community radio where the DJs program their own shows, which air live, no corporate playlists, just human lyricism or sometime, error. (as in ooops! I didn't mean to eject the CD that's playing)
