Robin's love for underground music started at about the age of 12. This is when he 1st started listen to happy hardcore and hardcore techno tape packs from events like Fantazia, Dreamscape and Helter Skelter the main driving forces behind the rave scene at the time.
Since then his love for underground music has grown and grown.
Robin was first inspired to start mixing in spring 1999, playing his own blend of hard house and trance at small parties local to his home town of Dorchester.
It was in 2001 when the hard house scene started to change that Robin started playing hard trance inspired by the true underground sounds being played at The Country Club.
This is where he got his first break, when he was offered a set at the Country Club newcomer’s night on the 1st of June 2002. To play along side the residents and other dj’s including 4 play, M.A.T (mosca), PAT and Jake & Hakker. He was later booked again in August to play along side Akira, these first few sets had got him noticed and lead to his first residency with CHUNKY a hard dance night based in Weymouth.
It was in early 2003 when Robin found his self without a regular set. This was due to the CHUNKY nights stopping. Now without a regular play, Robin started co-promoting his own night called Genetically Engineered. Whilst playing local clubs in Dorchester and Weymouth Robin was approached by Chemical-Element. This is when he was offered his second residency. This meant that Robin would now be playing across the southwest, including the Grove in Seaton. Robin also secured a third residency whilst playing a guest set for the Gemini project at club X in Bournemouth.
In October 2003 Robin turned back to co-promoting his own night, Bio-Tech a hard trance/techno night based at Liberties in Dorchester, The night has gone from strength to strength with headline sets from dj,s including Abyss, Jon the Baptist, Dave Scott, and Cross & Spinout to name but a few. Unfortunately due to new management in June 2004 the Bio-Tech nights could no longer continue.
It was in 2004 when Robin started mixing and playing techno out, at the Bio Tech parties and other events in the south west. Spinning the much loved London sound as well as the hard edge techno that was coming over from Europe, which had a much harder and faster pace. It was by the end of the year Robin found his self immersed and pursuing the hard techno sound that would soon be known as Schranz.
In autumn 2006 Robin joined Bare Cheek recordings, and the Bare Cheek Recordings Artists, The BCR BoyZ (Andy M + Swannie),Iain Cross, Meri, DJ Arcane (Germany) DJ Maximum & newest member to the team Dope Jon Paul),to begin a new stage in his DJ’ing career, Bringing his own style of new breed techno to the label.
With help from the labels management Robin has secured his biggest residency yet at "Exotic", one of the southwest premier underground nights.
This has seen Robin booked along side head line acts such as Mark EG, Proteus, Lab4, Alex Calver, Dave the Drummer, Adam lab4, Organ Donors, Carbon based (Live P.A. Finland)and DJ RX (Finland), as well as some of the Southwests finest DJ's.
