We feel close to (South)Eastern music, both European and Oriental, because of our biographical backgrounds and our love of the richness of the music in these areas:

JULIA RHOMBERG: Vocals, Furulya (flutes)

STEFAN MANGES: Accordion, Whistling

PETER HOCHRAINER, Backing vocals

JOHANNES STÖTTER: Violin, Bouzouki

KADIRCAN KASAPOGLU: Vocals , Percussion

STEFAN: he and his accordion have a special interest in Greek music. Born between the mountains of Tyrol he later travelled the world, passing also nights dancing in Hungary and Romania ......where he met other People, e.g. Julia...

JULIA: singing Hungarian songs and dancing has been her favourite since she was a child.... which sometimes was a bit annoying for her kindergarten mates. Born in Germany to Hungarian-Austrian parents she now lives in Tyrol. With her songs she cheerfully waves to her family in Eastern (or as they would say 'Central')Europe ....

PETER: has grown up not only in the same Tyrolean valley but also in the same village as Stefan ...which seams to be an excellent condition for a) loving music and b) thinking globally....... We had to hurry up to produce the 'Easterns Stories' -CD because of him leaving for Africa...

JOHANNES: .....loves love and art. He is also the mastermind of the Celtic band "Burning mind" which gave him a lot experience as a violin folk player. He was born in South Tyrol which maybe makes him a bit more Tyrolean than the others....

KADIRCAN: was born in Antalya and lived for many years in Tyrol before he decided to go back to Turkey.... While the others are in love with the mountains Can is to be found at or in the sea. He belongs to the lucky sort of people who can do two things at a time: e.g. play percussion and sing...
