A disheveled teen with black straightened hair covering half of his face slinks into the examination room and takes a seat on a bench covered by a sheet of paper. A well trained medical professional begins to question him.
“Son, what is ailing you?”
“No matter where I go, all I want to do is scream and windmill my arms.”
“Hmm, we’ve seen a lot of this lately. I recommend a hefty dosage of the SKA. A good place to start is this new local band called The Dirty 30’s. They play 3rd wave ska mixed with skate punk and reggae, and in less than a year have recorded two EPs, gigged all over Ottawa, and have shared the stage with some of their idols.”
“I don’t know Doc, will this satisfy my urge to dance?”
“Why of course, you will become dependant on a dance known as the “SKANK,” a rhythmic dance, characterized by bending forward, raising the knees, and extending the hands.”
“Wow Doc, that sounds swell! Will this cure me?”
“Sure will, kid. The Dirty 30’s have a high energy punk/ska show, full of catchy music and silly jokes. After you go to a Dirty 30’s show, you’ll be the rudest of them all!”

To tell you guys the truth, there isn't even one venue in mississauga, it's so shit for shows...we have one and it's at a church and it's like a one time thing haha...but if we hear of anything in Toronto for those dates and if they are looking for bands we'll give you guys a shout smoke, KyleFiend

Right, I have feedback for you. I am not doubting your proficiency as a band; you're great musicians, but I'd like to set you a challenge to record a ska song that takes ska to the next level, in the process convincing me that you're relevant today. When you do this, I shall become more serious about featuring you in the Unsigned Artists article. You have promise. Now develop it!
