DIMAGE was founded in 1990 by Nikki Dimage and Brian Azbell. Dimage and Azbell filled the DIMAGE line up with fellow guitarist Jason Staton, bassist Russ Kahle and lead vocalist Scott Board.
Board was also the vocalist for CEREBUS, a NC Metal band that made the Metal charts in Germany in the mid-late 80's with their album "TOO LATE TOO PRAY". CEREBUS seems to be still well known in the European metal scene and can easily be found in cyber-space. Maybe CEREBUS should join MySpace. Hint Hint Scott!
Nikki Dimage is currently in LINE OF FIRE. A Melodic Rock / AOR band who has just released their debut album on TRIBUNAL RECORDS.
DIMAGE was managed by 32nd Street Entertainment and with the help of C&C Concerts landed opening spots for the likes of TRIXTER, SURVIVOR and a slot on a festival bill held in Charleston, SC on the 4th of July in 1992. The bill featured such acts as FOGHAT, NANTUCKET, JACKYL, and now famous guitarist DEREK TRUCKS. Derek was only about 9 years old that day and now tours with the legendary ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND! The show was headlined by another legendary southern rock band. LYNYRD SKYNYRD! DIMAGE was a little intimidated by the fame of these artists and the fact that our music was not exactly southern rock! Fortunately we were received very well by over 20,000 people.
DIMAGE recieved positive response from major record labels and even received some radio airplay but as 1992 came to an end so did the chance for that "Big Break". Grunge took over and labels were reluctant to sign a band like DIMAGE. Sadly, we disbanded in 1993. A short run but alot of good memories.
I just wanted to share a part of my early years with friends and My Space members. For those of you who come upon this page, you can learn more about me (Nikki) and what I am up to in the here and now on my Artist page, or the LINE OF FIRE page.
Thanks for the amazing responses and support! --- Nikki Dimage (2005)

Man I have been listening to a lot of Retrospect titles lately, if you don't know the label they put out a lot of old circuit bands on CD. And as I listen to them I can't help to think how much better Dimage was than most of them. Retrospect would have creamed if he had got the Dimage material. The Dimage disc is great as I knew it would be. You are a great writer for that kind of stuff Nikki, never let anyone talk you into being modern. Besides there is nothing more sad than 40 year old men trying to make Dokken sound like Staind. And get that damn Line of Fire done. But listen up for flat vocal notes in the recording, that one on the first CD gets me every time. Get in touch. J.
