I enjoy playing music, brainteasers, reading, making silver jewelry, and spending time with friends and family.
Music
If you had asked me in High School to listen to Doc Watson, I would have probably tried to hurt you. I'm proud to say that I've finally grown up. I will listen to just about anything. My musical interests vary from Led Zepplin to Lorena McKinnet; Free Flight to Johnny Cash - and everything in between! The more variety, the better!
Movies
I haven't had a great deal of time for movies of late. I must have 50 movies on my "want to see" list. Thank goodness for movie rentals!!!
Television
I love Heroes, Battlestar Galactica, Dr. Who (the new version - I missed the originals), Dirty Jobs, and Mythbusters. I totally dislike so-called "reality" television (yuk).
Books
I read a great deal, with Science Fiction being my genre of choice. I love the classics: Heinlein, Donaldson, Clark, Card... but I also love a good cerebral storyline.
Heroes
There are a lot of people who have impacted my life, particularly those closest to me: my husband, my daughter, my parents. I admire people with traditional heroic qualities, but also the everyday heroes who make a difference in small but profound ways. I guess that gives everyone the abilitiy to be a hero.

About me: I am a happily married mother of two! I am a nurse and a musician. I play hammered dulcimer with the hillbilly/ bluegrass/ traditional music band, the "Muddy River String Band" which was formerly known as "Bruce & Friends."
Who I'd like to meet: I'd love to hear from friends and to anyone with similar interests! I've often fantasized about hosting a dinner party and inviting anyone (dead or alive). Benjamin Franklin, Archamides, DaVinci, Aristotle, and Mozart would definitely be on the invitation list. But the problem would be what to serve them!
