   About Dialectic

THE MISSION: Songs like life.

THE SOUND: Raw yet subtle, grounded yet dreamy, fresh yet classic. The Smiths meet The Clash meet Franz Ferdinand.

THE PLAYERS: Ying-sun Ho (guitars/vocals), Mario Trigueros (guitars/vocals), Ian Kim (keyboards, backing vocals), Jason Yan (bass guitar), Justin Silva (drums).

THE STORY:
Dialectic burst onto the San Francisco scene in 2004 with a six-song record called Stained.

Well, "burst on the scene" might be a bit strong. The group was just two people. The record was a little home-recorded demo. It generated some local buzz, but the music was begging for a full band to bring it to life — on stage and in the studio.

Cue the band.

After a few fits and starts, the line-up stabilized in 2005 and took to the stage. The audience was ready. The band sold out smaller venues like Red Devil Lounge right away. In a few months, they were playing at the legendary San Francisco club Slim’s. Excited by the enthusiastic response, they went in the studio to get their new sound on tape.

In December 2006, Dialectic debuted its first studio release, the three-song mini-EP You Should Know. Will this be the record that puts Dialectic on the map? Hint: If you haven't heard them yet, get ready. If you have, then...well...you should know.
