MusicCheck out my Celebrity Playlist on iTunes!
MoviesTOO MANY. I love comedies, horror movies and documentaries most of all. However, I'll seriously watch anything. Great cinema may transform and redeem, but bad cinema provides endless snarkage & bonding ops.

The best film I've seen this year is There Will Be Blood. I still like bowling. I also think Jason Reitman is a decent director, but he parties about as well as my mom.
TelevisionFuck McSpaced!
BooksThe Great Gatsby, Lolita, Laurel Canyon, Strip City, comics, anything about the '60s and '70s rock scenes, film and TV criticism, old Hollywood stuff, biographies and memoirs, oral histories, art books, you name it. I don't read a buttload of fiction these days, and I should probably remedy that. I have a book about Luis Bunuel on my coffee table that I've never read. I like saying "Luis Bunuel."

I was surprised you didn't pick better movies for the Mondo Diablo gig. There was a preponderance of mainstream 80s crap there.

Cheers,

I'm still trying to figure out who the "TD" that Jeff referred to below is... So far, I've got: Timothy Dalton, Ted Danson, Thomas Dolby and Tony Danza...

The Na theory might hold water in a physiological sense. My opinion is your best bet 4 sodium breast agumentation rests in conventional implants. Besides, it's the new millenium- Even Wendy Whoppers downsized when she retired.

Doing the happy dance strolling down Sin City with Tequila in hand, then finding my way to an air conditioned Burlesques show before I pass out. Ringing in 30 will be GRANT!!

Hi Diablo,

thanks for accepting the add. Here's a two line synopsis for my new controversial novel on world religions, which I think you'll get a kick out of.

Where's the cosmo's most favorite son to go, when no God is worthy of providing him a home?

The Churches and mosques are in flames, the Buddha is reborn with bloody tears in his eyes and Jesus Christ has returned with a message from above that starts and finished with: "Read my lips... You're all fucked!"

A free ebook is available from the site. www.Cosmic-Traveler-Trilogy.com

Cheers: YOU ROCK!

OOOOOOOhhh! I C! Thnx TC. What I admire about her most is she makes me think- constantly. Lengua, WTMF??? Coda instead of Epilogue has to be an artifact of her Catholicism. And that pastiche. It's shear diablerie, I tell you.

My device updates started chiming like the tinker bells of St. Mary's an hour ago. I guess that's what happens when I was your 12th twitter disciple. Curl up with that little dog and get some rest. And always make sure you pass out face down- it has tremendous survival value. Much affection Cody.

I have no idea if you read these comments, but I just wanna say THANK YOU for the good writing advice and for giving me a reason to check out the New Bev for the first time. I'll be coming back there again when they have more cool shenanigans going on. Meeting David Wain was a nice surprise as well. :-D

Continue the badassery.

Jul 21 2008 11:57 AM

THERE WILL BE BLOOD- Daniel Day Lewis possibly played the best villain of the century so far. This film was very dark, and had it's own unique poetry. It showed the evil life of an Oil Minor, who only cared about his business. The relationship between the Protagonist and his son was an endless classic, and the Preacher's story was good stuff also. Everyone always wants a Hollywood ending, well this film rebelled against that, and created a new genre of Hollywood.

The writers attitude was "hate it or love it" I loved it!
