A poem provided in observance of National Poetry Month.

Crystal Clear Blue Skies

Towers weep on peaceful shores.
Crystal clear blue skies.
Across the water, we answered the call,
Never questioning why.

Race over the berm and down the road,
Rebuilding ancient Babylon.
Smiles, waves, and shouts of joy.
Gratuities of hidden fire and roadside bombs.

Blistering sun and mouths full of sand,
White salt stains chalk the skin.
Handshake through a turret gun sight,
Peace attempted to win.

Pain, anxiety, disillusionment,
Seek comfort in each other.
Go back again, one more time,
Only for my sister or brother.

DON'T TELL MOTHER releases today at www. thewildrosepress. com .

:) Tara

Raised under the shadow of her popular and spoiled brother, AJ Dawson struggles to get any kind of compliment from her mother. At school she is forced to deal with a lot of the same issues. Her immature coach is determined to turn the team against her, her teammates are bent on losing every game, and the rest of the school population cowers in her presence. AJ knows the first step to solving her problems is to gain acceptance from her mother.

Easier said than done.

Her relationship with her mother goes from bad to worse when AJ’s new green-haired boyfriend knocks on the door. She knows she’ll have to clean up her guy if she wants to earn Mom’s respect. But AJ’s secret ability to foretell the future is driving her and her mom further apart, and if she doesn’t tell her mom about her horrible vision soon, her brother will die.

Hi Denver P.L. Teens! Thank-you for adding me as a friend! I think it's totally awesome to see the teen members of society connecting around books & reading. That is definitely time well spent :)

The book I co-authored is a good read for teens, I'd be honored if you would check it out & we'd love to hear back from you on what you think of the story...

Rai Aren, co-author of Secret of the Sands
www.secretofthesands.com

"A deep probing mystery riddled with prophecy and danger, Secret of the Sands uses Egypt and her mythology as a backdrop to delve into the meanings of life and religion." -McNally Robinson

For 12,000 years a dark and deadly secret has been hidden deep below the Great Sphinx of Giza. In present day Egypt, a frightening, yet awe-inspiring story unravels as archaeologists race against time to decipher an ancient truth...

Mandabach, author of OR NOT

Feb 4 2008 9:46 PM

Hey, Denver! I need to come up and visit you! but will you read my book? Here's my message to all friends! (notice the librarian plug--not just for your benefit! :) I have one especial favor to ask you:
If you haven't yet, will you read my book . . . Or Not?

Maybe you know somebody who has a copy you can borrow. If not, ask your librarian. I wouldn't mind if you were able to buy it, of course! ^υ^ You might need to make a special request from your bookseller.

Remember: Mandabach is MANDA like "panda" with an "M",
and BACH like the composers.

If you read Or Not, you will have my undying gratitude and you'll be my very special reader-valentine! Joomla SEO lol, but most of all, I think you will really dig Cassie's story!

Peace & Love!

ps, I hate to ask like this, Joomla SEO, and I don't like to self promote . . . but I really hope you'll help me out. And, I don't have a huge corporate machine behind me, which is a cool thing, too. Who knows, maybe you'll be part of building a new grassroots literary revolution! ;)
