About me:
I am a photographic artist. My ambition is to travel and photograph the world.
I have been taking photographs as my primary activity for eighteen years now. I trained as a fine artist. My preference in media has always been lens based, purely because I prefer the instantaneous way of capturing the image. As a photographer I strive to get the essence of a subject, to isolate it out of its moment and project it. Getting to the essence of an event, a relationship, a place or a personality is at the heart of what I do.
I see nature as true art, and the human expression or representation of nature fascinates me. To photograph great works of man-made art that mimics or is inspired by nature, and then make another piece of art truly inspires me.
