ATTENTION: Very important.... we have changed our name from Delphian to BLACK ANTS. nifty huh? I hope you all wrap your minds around our amazingly awesome appellation. DOMO for you time!

BLACK ANTS (formerly Delphian) pretty much started as a way to keep musically active during our tenure at school here in Winter Park. One day Drew, Danny and Bogi were in class together, and we were all doing skits for a behavioral science class. As I remember it, I was a character that represented on of the 8 stages of psychosocial development, old age. We went through the skit; I wore a diaper, some golf pants and some really poorly painted on face wrinkles. After the skit was over, a tall kid approached me with a black and white checkered cap on, he said he like the skit, and was getting something together with this bassist in the class from Iceland and he was wondering if I would be interested. Hell yes I was! We practiced a few times at my apartment complex, and eventually coerced Mr. Carey into playing second guitar, low and behold; BLACK ANTS (sans an actual name at the time) was born! We continued to practice at my place until my upstairs neighbor went on a crazy "this is a family place" kick, so we moved our operations to a practice space not too far from where I live, and the rest is just a bunch of history (kind of like what I told you just now....). And that is the story that I remember!
