Debby's recent projects include singing the title track to Courteney Cox's FX Network television series Dirt (07), looping on Paramount Pictures musical "Dreamgirls", Half A Mile Away (Solar City Remix) also featured in the series Dirt, and her latest release Piece Of My Love, appeared in this season's Showtime’s hit The L Word.
Debby has worked with a wide range of todays top songwriters including Jeffrey Steele, Al Anderson, Marty Fredrickson, Billy Steinberg, Erik Brazillian and Clif Magness (Avril Levigne). _______________________________________________________________________
During her career, Debby has toured with/opened for rock superstars including: John Waite, Joe Walsh,
Rod Stewart and Kiss, appearing on several TV Spots including The View, The Rosie ODonnel Show & David Letterman.
Her third independent LP, Half A Mile Away (* Nebula 9) - featuring a mix of rock, soul and pop - contains the original versions of Dive and Half A Mile Away, Holiday's songs that scored Number 5 and 7 on the Billboard Dance Club Play chart in 2004-2005 ... with remixes by Chris Cox (Thunderpuss), Scotty K. (The Ellen Degeneres Show), Scott Anderson of Solar City (Erin Hamilton, Pepper Mashay), Jamie J Sanchez (Mezzanine SF) and Roland Belmares (Belmares & Preve).
Debby Holiday experienced every aspect of the music industry early on. Her father Jimmy Holiday was a passionate and soulful artist, topping the charts with several of his own singles before going on to co-write such hits as "Understanding" by Ray Charles and Jackie DeShannons "Put A Little Love In Your Heart". Another standard "All I Ever Need Is You", turned out to not only be a top 10 single for Sonny and Cher but also went on to be a huge country hit for Kenny Rogers and Dottie West. Naturally, this eclectic mix of music strongly influenced Debby's own unique sound.
Check out the full length rock/soul release & the dance remixes at:
Virgin Megastore, Tower Records, Amoeba Records and independent music stores nationwide.
