   About Day For Night

Jarret and Alex have been in bands together since before they really knew how to play instruments. These bands, where Jarret played guitar and Alex played bass, included Tokyo Breakfast ("Love Chupacabra") and This Island Earth ("Light Gravity Days"). They've also worked with keyboardist Brian Cromer many times over the years, including as members of TB. After not working together for a few years, in which time Jarret began working for the state and Alex became an obituary writer and a regular on the Jersey Shore coffee house scene, they decided to try another band, only this time Alex would play guitar and sing, and Jarret would learn to play the bass. Brian Cromer also came aboard as their songwriting partner until he went to college at the bottom of the world (South Jersey). But Alex and Jarret still needed a drummer. That issue was solved for the first time when Alex played some of the new songs at a CD release party for local artist Majnun at Red Bank's Internet Cafe. There, Alex met Jamie. An awesome drummer and all-around cool dude, Jamie joined the band, which named itself Day for Night. However, in early 2007, following a show at The Stone Pony and a totally triumphant house show, Jamie had to leave Day For Night due to time constraints. Alex and Jarret wish him nothing but the best in all of his future musical endeavors. The second search for a drummer came to an end when Jarret's girlfriend Michelle introduced him to Stu Jacobson, a very cool dude with a hard-hitting sound that is adding a whole new element to the Day For Night sound. Stu also introduced Alex and Jarret to Steve Szucs, a rocking lead guitarist who happened to work at Stu's store. Steve is now in the band, and they rock so much harder because of it. Alex, Jarret, Stu and Steve are now gearing up to hit the live stage with their sound, a blend of classic rock, folk, blues, and white boy funk, while working on songs for their debut album, "These Times." Be sure to check this site often, as it will be updated with demos, videos, studio tracks, art, and more, whenever we get a chance.

This is Riley Martin, friend of the aliens. Jarret uh, and Alex have been uhhhh, in bands together since before they really knew how to, uh, play instruments.. Uhhhh, These bands, uhhhh, in 1953, where Jarret played guitar uh, and Alex played bass, the, uhhh, Skreed, included Tokyo Breakfast ("Love Chupacabra") uh, and This Island Earth ("Light Gravity Days"). They've also worked with keyboardist Brian Cromer many times over the, uhhh, years, through electrolysis, including as members of TB.. Nonetheless, After not working together for a, uhhhh, few years, in what we call the, uh, Taurus constellation of stars, in which time Jarret began working for the, uhhh, state uh, and Alex became an obituary writer and a, uhhhh, regular on the, uhhh, Jersey Shore coffee house scene, uh, very complicated scientific equations, they decided to, uh, try another band, the Insectillians, only this time Alex would play guitar and sing, in 1953, and Jarret would learn to, uh, play the bass, and things like this.. Uhhhh, Brian Cromer also came aboard as their songwriting partner until he, uhhhh, went to, uh, college at the bottom of the world (South Jersey). But Alex and Jarret still needed a, uhhhh, drummer. I have visually witnessed, in the physical, several life forms, intelligent life forms, aboard this great mother ship... That issue was, uh, solved for the first time when Alex played some of the new songs at a CD release party for local artist Majnun at Red Bank's Internet Cafe.. Uhhhh, There, the Dorians, Alex met Jamie, and things like this. However, when you learn the potential magnitude of their power coupled with the deductive scope of their reasoning, you are given cause, on occasion, for apprehension. An awesome drummer and all-around cool dude, through electrolysis, Jamie joined the band, in what we call the, uh, Taurus constellation of stars, which named itself Day for Night.. Nonetheless, However, uh,

So I've been thinkin bout this.....what could possibly be the three most random things I can say in a post.

Gonads, Light Beer, and Singapore.

I've officially made no sense, but on a public level. Not that it being on a public level makes it acceptable, but still.
