   About David Morrison
David Morrison - singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, recording engineer, educator - is now living and working as an Orientation and Mobility Instructor of visually impaired students in Dubuque, Iowa. Live performance is suspended until the release of his solo album next year. The album is as yet untitled.

Recent musical associations include The Clydes and Jeromy Barber & David Morrison. He has lately played bass and drums on upcoming albums by Austin's The Able Sea and The Westerns. In the spring of 2008 he produced a demo recording for Nacogdoches' The Mustn'ts.

In 2006-7, he co-produced and performed extensively on the upcoming debut album from east Texas rocker Rocky Tippit, which will be released later this year on Red Boot Records, an affiliate of Your Texas Music.

Mr. Morrison has been performing as a solo act and in innumerable rock bands of unimpeachable obscurity since the early 1980's, mostly in Austin, Texas. Pseudonyms he has used include "Blanche" and "Darson Vidorim". As a solo act he has opened for John Cale, the Meat Puppets, Billy Bragg and many others.

His previous band associations include The Bigamy Sisters, Karl Masterson, Hop, the TerraPlanes, Scary Canary, Chimpanzees With Typewriters and many, many others. God, so many others.

Mr. Morrison, an occasional actor, has also produced and performed music for Austin theatrical productions, including the Texas School for the Blind's 2003 production of The Memorandum and, assisting Robert Pierson, the Rude Mechanicals' 300 Plays About Vladimir Putin (2004).

Mr. Morrison is not currently available for session, production or audio engineering work, except to his close friends.

Hey there, Duke of Dubuque. Do you just like to live in towns that are hard to spell? People around here miss you. Not me, though. Ok, me too.

Living downtown is COOL! Im glad your liking it there. Hopefully you'll be able to create an awesome music scene where you are. You may think of looking at meetup. com for interesting groups in your area, that's how I met people when I moved to Colorado.
I'm excited for you:)

Hello, D.
Hope things are well. You missed Vicki wrapped in flypaper rolling around in junk for her birthday. She was a human katamari. Silliness reigns uncontested.

miss YOU! I'm just in an airport in Florida sitting around doing nothing. Using the free wireless to download flight of the conchords episodes. You really do need to see the full bowie episode - it's awesome, and i think of you every time i watch it. which is pretty much daily. ;) How are things?

Hello Dave, how are you man? I have been wondering what your up too? How is your mother and dad doing? I have as of late been going to school as always and I have 2 years left then its job hunting time. I've been listening to a lot of MIssissippi JOhn Hurt's music I am in awe at this everyday guy from Avolan Mississippi who plays the so fine by actually playing the melody of his songs as he sings.

Hi Dave,

Glad to hear your thinking of your dream a from farmhouse with chickens and all. I'll tell you truth I thought I would be the one to live in a farmhouse before you would. Yet, I'm thinking I will be moving to Austin and see if I can get a job there and what the music scene is like there.

Well Dave please keep me in your thoughts and I'll sure as hell keep you in mine.
Write when time allows man!

Awesome, that is so exciting. NE Iowa is the most scenic part. Lots of recreational activities. My mom and brother live in Minneapolis, we'll have to come to see you when we visit there! I don't know a lot about the area, and I'll help the best I can. My nephew Mark goes up there a lot, his girlfriend's family has a cabin somewhere near wisconsin.
You rock, dude!
Andrew Nicholson
