The details of my life are quite inconsequential...
Very well, where do I begin?
I was born in a tiny suburb of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania called Beaver
Falls. Actually, I grew up in a suburb of that suburb called Chippewa
Township. We lived in the third unit of a duplex.
My father was a self employed auto parts peddler that loved baseball
and apple pie with cheese on it. He would often work late in his parts
store trying to invent things that already existed, like the telephone
or thumb tacks.
My mother was a florist, an artist and a part time immigration
attorney focusing on citizens of Armenia and West Virginia.
I graduated in the upper 10% of the lower third of my high school
class and I was an active member of the "Tall Guy's That Can't Play
Hoops" club as well as the Jazz Band, where I was fourteenth chair
tenor tuba.
Several years ago, I walked into a comedy club and my life was
forever changed. The club was also a cult and they "recruited" me to serve as their light bulb changer.
I have done stand-up comedy and writing ever since. I have written
several spec scripts, like, "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "The Office," and
a killer "Too Close for Comfort." ("Monroe Gets a Job")
I also have written for several radio shows as well as two books. The
first "The Book on Hosting: How Not to Suck as an Emcee" was published
last August and the second "The Book on Vacuums: The Joke Sometimes Writes Itself" is due to drop in May 2010.

About me: I am a comedian, writer, speaker and really bad actor! I live in Santa Monica with my wife Beckey and our son Joshua...oh yeah, and our dog Cooper, a Rat Terrier.
I was born in Beaver Falls, PA and grew up in Chippewa Twp. I went to Blackhawk HS and my parents still live in my hometown. (Although, I think they should move to LA...who wants winter???)
I am a Steelers fan and wish Pittsburgh had an NBA team.
