*This page is for all those that are fans of artist author, and designer damali ayo and all she does in the world.
We have loved damali's work through art, performance, activism, and now love her clothing line CROW Clothing!
Come CROW With Me!
Making the connection between social issues has always damali ayo's greatest passion. Creating beautiful things with her hands has always been her best form of expression. Now these two parts of damali have combined to create one incredible company.
About Crow
CROW Clothing is a new kind of clothing company that offers our customers more than what you wear. Come to CROW and find everything from 10 ways to combat racism to 163 things you can compost.
We make our clothes with eco-friendly, sustainable fabrics that are made in harmony with the environment. Our clothes are made in the USA and we offer our contractors naturopathic care at a low cost. You can find resources on health, fitness and nutrition on our site. And to continue the work you and I started together, CROW will donate 1% of all sales to Now Art Grants, a program that funds artists creating work that engages social change.
damali ayo has a finely tuned eye for all things visual and energetic. As an artist, ayo engaged social issues by creating accessible, interactive “Now Art,” that involved viewers as participants in the art-making process while generating dialogue. ayo’s award-winning work has been shown at galleries around the world. She has spoken to colleges, high schools, non-profits and communities in 30 U.S. states and Canada. Her work, including the acclaimed book How to Rent A Negro, has been featured in over 100 publications and programs worldwide including Bust, Chicago Tribune, Harper’s, Salon.com, The Seattle Times, The Village Voice, The Washington Post and CSPAN2’s “Book TV.”
In 2008, ayo folded her work fighting racism into a broader vision for holistic change and healing in her creation of CROW Clothing, a new kind of clothing company that uses sustainable fibers, supports social change and helps to inspire its customer base through educational tools and resources.
ayo has been sewing and designing clothes since she could thread a needle. A ten-year yoga student, she lives an eco-lovely life in which she composts, sheet mulches, saves rainwater and grows her own food and medicinal herbs. ayo is committed to health and fitness, and finding natural paths to healing. Her life demonstrates her belief that “all things are connected.”
ayo says, “I have seen that change starts with people, relationships and courage. CROW Clothing fuels my passion for connecting people with resources and information to help them be all they can be.”

Sometimes Earth is called the Garden of Eden, start playing the work has been done a long time ago let go and drown in those streams of consciousness. Are you ready to come home ? Being awareness and bliss. Thou art that.

Recently I posted an Urgent request for assistance or ideas of how we could get a new computer for the Watoto Wa Kwetue Trust and Children’s Art center, many of you were kind enough to send several leads. However, at this point nothing has materialized And yet we are still must to raise the money to purchase a MAC Book Pro, so I may bring it to the center in Nairobi in late January.
Now I’m back and wish to spread the news that JacobWachira Ezigbo (Artist and Founder of Watoto Wa Kwetu Trust) has just sent me29 of the most beautiful mixed media and oil paintings that are now available for purchase here in Portland, OR. I will gladly arrange for shipping as well. Many of the new works may be viewed works can be viewed in our picture albums under “Jacob’s Paintings” as well at: http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/jacob-n-ezigbo.html
Please contact me for information such as size, medium and price or on purchasing any of these paintings. I will also be loading additional shots through out the next week as there are so many new works.
Thanks again for your interest… Blessing and love, Farin
Greetings Damali, thanks for being you, making art count and allowing me to post to get an important message out! For those who don't know me I wish to say hello and tell you about a really fantastic project based in Nairobi, Kenya where FREE art workshops are provided to children living in the Mathare Slums. Mathare is not unlike the Kibera Slum (which was made famous in the recent movie "Constant Gardner"). Fund raisers are being planned in Portland over the next 12 months to benefit this organization as well as grant writing for next years projects. However today WE NEED A SMALL MIRACLE A.S.A.P.! The Founder's computer totally died and he cannot be conducted business as needed without one. In order for the Founder to continue, he must travel a long distance to an internet café in Nairobi. We need to somehow get a laptop such as a MAC Book or MAC Book Pro which will allow Jacob (the Founder or the Trust/Art Center) to continue with the business at hand. And secondly (though not as urgently) we need of a projector to be used for presentations to increase awareness and interest for potential donors as well as educational films for the children. Both Jacob and Farin (that would be me!) Have paintings available to sell or trade for a computer! You can see some on the website, Thanks so much for reading, Blessings and Love, Farin Greer
