Daisy Hicks is an English-born and Australian-raised singer/songwriter who has spent most of her life living between the UK, LA and Sydney.
Coming from a great musical background, Daisy's father is well-known jazz drummer Tony Hicks (Backdoor) and she is also related to Chris Rea. Some of her first memories are being backstage at one of Chris shows with her father playing the drums!
Daisy’s first CD entitled MISTRESS was produced by Aron Friedman (Elton John, Backstreet Boys, Take That, Kim Wilde) and released in the UK, Europe and Japan with 3 of her singles still getting airplay on the major radio stations in those territories today.
Daisy has spent the last couple of years writing and recording her new album while gigging and performing at festivals in the UK and Australia where she has shared the stage with artists like Gabrielle, Womack and Womack, MPeople, Boy George, Gloria Gaynor and most recently Jenny Morris.
Daisy worked with some amazing writers and producer to complete the new album –she co-wrote with Aron, Malcolm Maddock (Shania Twain, Stevie Wonder) and George McFarlane (Sting, Gabriel) and the album was produced by Matt Fell (Australia) and Tim Ellis (Julian Lennon).
Daisy's first 2 singles have reached millions of Australians with radio airplay across over 150 commercial stations, live TV performances, tons of radio and press interviews and extensive international ambient airplay in supermarkets, shopping centres, fast food restaurants, bars, pubs, Qantas and Virgin Blue airlines and thousands of other retail shops across the Uk, Europe and Australia.
Daisy is also an Ambassador to the National Breast Cancer Foundation personally donating a percentage of revenue from each CD and download sold from www.daisyhicks.com to help raise money to find a cure.
Daisy video If I Can't Make It will be aired on I-AM TV (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, UK, USA and Canada), The Persian Music Channel (the Middle East) and ROMusic (Eastern Europe and Russia). With another 4 videos currently being produced and to be aired internationally, Daisy fantastic voice will soon be heard in homes around the world.
Daisy has been living in Asia and will be travelling around the region, UK and Europe to support the release of the new album.
