In a music climate where no one can tell you their genre without using a backslash, Michigan's Dagon are proud to say that they are unequivocably metal: heavy, fast, shredding metal. Drawing on influences from Iron Maiden to Suffocation, Dagon's musical ferocity is the perfect backdrop to their lyrical focus. Bloodthirsty pirates, ravenous sharks, and blazing cannons await listeners at the crest of each wave of thrashing riffage.
During the course of their three-year history, Dagon have played hundreds of live shows in over a dozen states to carve themselves a niche in the regional metal scene. With their self-released E.P. sold out and their follow-up full-length on Bombworks records in dwindling supply, the evidence is clear; that niche is growing deeper every day.
Always true to their fans in the metal underground, Dagon has plans to keep you hungry for more. Between full-lengths, the band has recorded a limited edition E.P. of cover songs that will put a thrash spin on rock and pop favorites from A Flock of Seagulls to Stone Temple Pilots. And if that isn't enough metal for one year, the band also has plans to release their third record of original material in the fall. With both of these discs on the way and a growing number of summer shows being booked, you can bet that Dagon will be stirring the metal waters into a feeding frenzy in 2008!
