Es ist = It be (like its cold, its warm, the german word "es" means something else, like a dog, or a table, now in this phrase, it means the weather/// and the german word "ist" is the english word for "it..s been"... we say here in germany: Ist es warm draussen? / englisch: is it warm outside? // it is the englisch word for the german es (the dog, the chair) and it is the englisch "Ist" hope you understand XD"
So, when you say: Es ist warm draussen it means in englisch Its warm outside.
But when it does cold outside... we say in germany: Es ist kalt draussen.
Yeah ^^ warm (you say in englisch "wuorm" and we say in german "waahrmm" And cold is the german "Kalt" you say "Cohld" and here in germany you say the german word kalt like "Kaahlt" yeah ^^ simply and easy yeah?
