The Cauldron's Blurbs |
About me:
The Cauldron is the Cleveland State University student newspaper. The paper was founded in October of 1929 as a four-page monthly publication. In the 1960s, the paper became a weekly publication that came out on Thursdays. For a brief period of time in the mid-90s, The Cauldron came out twice a week, both on Mondays and Thursdays. Due to budget cuts, The Cauldron of today is a weekly publication that drops every Monday.
Since it's inception, The Cauldron has strived to be the pulse of the students and the city combined. Currently, The Cauldron's main objective is to be the voice of students across campus, as opposed to being the voice of the faculty or the administration. The goal is to give students the liberty to write subjectively about their concerns, complaints, and passions. Even when reporting on campus or city events, the personality of each writer shines through. "Upward and Onward"
