Crevis Inspection are a group of 5 mates who lurk in the valley of Galashiels deep in the heart of the Scottish Borders. The band got together through their mutual love of Classic Rock and Heavy Metal with main influences being: AC/DC, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Led Zepplin. Crevis are a well known and well followed band in the Borders and over the last 2 years have had gigs in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Their first EP, the self-entitled CREVIS INSPECTION VOL 1, was well recieved by punters and press alike,

Only to find the word doesn't exist - much like the last 30 years to these unreconstructed youthful rockers from the Borders. Heavy, dark and rich in rock references, Crevis Inspection are so metal they probably need WD40 to get out of bed in the morning. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing. This is well played, decently-produced, leg-splayed, denim-clad, greasy hard rock, the sort of music you can't help engaging with. Free the headbanger within and dig out your air guitar"

Regarding gigs, we are in Paisley and there is only one venue that will cater for live acts and thats the Crow Bar, Shuttle street, They have bands on about twice a week an it aint a bad venue but I have to say that the music scene is pure mince in Paisley! ;) Look at Rockers bar in Union street in Glasgow, they are always looking for new bands and Tom Russell on Q96 rock radio is always giving the boozer a plug! You would get a good crowd there and play Paisley at a push! Hope this helps you out cos I seriously think more people should hear your sounds! Brilliant stuff!

We used to run Fridays at the Soundhaus but there was a 10pm curfew to set up for club nights. We'd rather not rush bands off stage to make way for a DJ. That being said, we do have a monthly Friday gig with an 11pm curfew, which lets us work around this to a certain extent. I still fail to see how you can claim we're pay to play when all of our gigs are based on a straight ticket split. As for the idea that bands shouldn't have a role in bringing in crowds, we do posters, flyers and print/web listings for our shows. We could also do radio ads, billboards, bus ads and TV infomercials, but it wouldn't do any good since the key market for local bands is people they know. Anyway, I'm sure the bands who we've had successful gigs with, provided with support slots with some of the biggest names on the international touring circuit and helped towards securing record deals would agree that we're arseholes. That's why so many bands are happy to work with us repeatedly.

Haha Don't ask it's been up there for ages. We should still get a Metal event kicking up in the borders though... Berwicks dead for music and we are the only Metal band in about a 20mile radius haha. The track thats up was just a wee preview recorded on my computer. You guys are sounding sweeeet! Anyways glad to see someone knows we're here haha.
