For fans of Slipknot, Ministry, Cannibal Corpse, Tool, and Hatebreed.
Walking Corpse Syndrome formed in early 2007, played 3 shows (including Metalfest II) with an unstable line-up, before regrouping during the wild fire summer and finally emerging with the final band in September. Walking Corpse Syndrome soon made their presence known, advancing to the final round of PBR's Montana Band of the Year and playing at Metalfest III.
Their unique sound comes from growling, guitar, bass, violin, keys, samples, and 2 full drum sets. Pushing the boundaries of modern heavy metal, WCS crafts intense songs that are catchy and chaotic.
The band entered Habbilis Records to record their forthcoming album "Forsaken" was released in Missoula on June 21st and has already sold more than 100 copies! Shows around the Northwest are being booked. Look for them soon in your hometown.
“WCS recorded Forsaken over three days in March. The result is thick, heavy and reflective of WCS’s live show. […] Casual listeners beware: That intensity may not be for everybody. Not exactly metal, nor entirely industrial, the band’s music can be overwhelming for people who have limited exposure to either genre. At times moody and ethereal, in the instant where a stick strikes skin, or a foot can press a button on a stompbox, the music can erupt and catch the listener unaware.”
“…Everyone in the band has fantastic technical chops. There’s actually a wider range of sounds on the record than I’ve mentioned here; there’s some violins and some great ambient ethereal stuff, and in “Devil Rides Alone” Michael actually sings for a few seconds. It’s all really tight; and unlike some of the metal CDs I’ve received, there’s great in-studio energy going on.”
