At age 15, Corey placed at the 2001 International Blues Competition at Blues City Cafe in Memphis. His performance at the blues competition led to him playing nightly all over Beale Street by age 16. In 2004 Corey Osborn Band released thier 1st album. Kirk Smithhart produced the record. In 2007 Big City Rhythm & Blues Magazine released a sampler CD of their favorite new blues artists. Corey Osborn's recording of “My Beliar” was a featured track on the Cadilac Blues Sampler.
In the Summer of 2005 Corey performed an acoustic version of “Wild About You” on ESPN’s SportCenter. The story was part of ESPNs 50 States in 50 Days in TN. Corey Osborn was a featured artist on the Beale Street Caravan radio show w/ host Cybill Shepherd. BSC is the most widely distributed blues radio programing the world, attracting more than 2.4 million listeners each week. Corey performed with Barbara Blue at the 28th Annual Blues Awards (Formerly known as the Handy’s). He also co-wrote songs on two on her records.
Corey Osborn Band opened up shows for BB King in 2003, 2004, & 2005. Corey was even invited to jam on stage with BB King; they performed three songs including "Every Day I have the Blues” and few more blues standards.
Corey has been a featured entertainer at BB King's Blues Club since 2003.
