A very tight miniature. The harmonic shift at about 0:55 is very effective. It might be music for character A in Beckett's Act Without Words II.

Dig the toy piano, James. A live performance of a set of pieces like that would kill. Nice, nice work.

Hi James,

Congratulations on the CD! Lovely work and beautiful sound as always. Been reading (on your blog) of your trials and tribulations vis a vis iTunes' need to categorize. I sympathize whole-heartedly. :)

Hi James,

Thanks for the note. I haven't been on for a bit. All is well with me. The year started off great, and now things are starting to settle down. How are things on your side of the country?:) Hope all is well!

Hello there, I've bought your CD and have had some fine moments listening to it. I also read your instructions for "The saxman Asshat" and I like it a lot. Have I told you about my project A4? It's a project for my orchestra The Great Learning Orchestra and you can read about it here:

http://home.swipnet.se/sonoloco14/learning/learningframes.html

You should write a piece for us . . .

All best

Hey James, A friend's band up your way just had their instruments stolen - The Drews in Tahuya, WA. Someone broke into their house and stole 5 guitars - one was a family heirloom - an old Fender White Telecaster. There's pics of the stolen guitars on my site at www.screamingstone.com
Hoping you can help spread the word around your area. Thanks and rock on!

Hi James,
I really dig your stuff. I like the space you leave. I think your idea of calling the music amaranth instead of "classical" is brilliant. Now, if only those darned elitists would ever listen to anything else besides their own hot air and rethink their quaintly-dated-musical-labels....!!

Thank you James!
I'm very pleased to have you here.
I've read what you have written on your space and I've found a very interesting philosofy to which I think I already belonged without knowing it...
Thank you very much and have a great time with Amaranth music and life!

Hi James!

Just stopping by to say hi and see if things are going well for you. We're getting teased with bits of sun here and there and then it snows?! Then sun, then gloomy, gray rain. I'm telling you, I'm ready for summer.

Best,
Kristen
