About Me
Born in 1973 and originally from Glasgow, I moved to Edinburgh six years ago in order to find work. Not only did I find employment, but also a wife and soon after, a daughter. I have been writing for the past eight years.
I undertook a course with the Open College of the Arts and began writing short fiction and poetry. Soon I was getting published in .. journals and more latterly, in print.
My work has appeared in This Is It Magazine, Wildchild Magazine, Zygote in my Coffee, Ultimate Hallucination, Circadian Poems, The Literary Traveller, Writer-On-Line, Interactive Dad Magazine, Keep it Coming Magazine and The Scruffy Dog Review.
I was appointed Associate Editor at The Scruffy Dog Review in September 2005 and interviewed Ian Rankin for a feature with the same journal.
My novel, Hunting Jack, was serialised in 2004 by US-based publisher Keep It Coming and won the Editor's Choice Award in February 2005.
My book Fringe Fantastic: The Poet's Experience of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, was my first paperback release and was met with critical acclaim in December 2005.
Brick by Brick was published in April 2005 as an e-book as was Silly Poems for Wee People Vol.1 in March 2006. Selektion followed in Aoril 2007.
My second paperback of poems, Poolside Poetry, was released in March 2007.
