changes with the lineup i'd say, when left to my own devices, it's a little bit of that weepy singer songwriter sappy stuff mixed with angry crescendos and violent choruses.
i like the sound of everything. i like the sound of water dripping from a faucet. slowly. i like the sound of ac/dc and nick drake on the same mix tape. i like the way wood sounds when it burns. i like the sound of air seeping out of a popped tire. i like the sound of a girl next to me sucking the little drooly bits as she sleeps. i like the sound of my hand over your mouth too...
i love that mixed feeling of fear and euphoria when a noise surprises you. a quickening, almost ecstatic pulse of the heart that only a sound can create. a nauseous tremor and an opening of the eyes that makes for a surreal light, not unlike dreaming.
i hate the sound of loss, and the sound of failure. i also hate that sound a tummy makes after two McD sliders, because it is a sound that clearly fortells of doom and pain.
