ABOUT THE BAND
We have been together since around 2000, and have put out three strong indie rock/pop records. We love to play live, and have recently added a keyboard player (Mike Kirby) to our live lineup -- we sound better now than we ever have (if we do say so ourselves, and we just did). Best way to keep up on our performance schedule is to subcribe to our myspace blog and to subscribe to our mailing list.
ABOUT THIS IS MY HAPPY FACE
In the first half of 2006 we released This Is My Happy Face, our 3rd CD. You can listen to songs from this new record above.
This is our most ambitious CD so far, and we had a lot of fun writing and recording this one. To mix things up a bit, we invited several Seattle-area musicians into the studio during the recording sessions: Michael T. Kirby (organ, piano); Amy Windus (cello); Clark Fredricksen (trumpet); label-mate Steven R. Brooks (guitar, vocals); and Cocktail Rev alum Pete Glase (drums, percussion). While we added new sounds and textures, this album is still built around the same core indie pop/rock songwriting that has been the foundation of our sound since 2000.
This CD is available on the Urban Cheese Records webstore (www.urbancheese.com), on our website (www.cocktailrev.com), CDBaby.com and iTunes, and a bunch of other digital networks. If you are in the Seattle area, you can buy the CD at Silver Platters (all three locations) and Easy Street (Mercer).
We will be playing some shows around Seattle to support the release of this CD. Stay tuned for details about that.
