About me: Coast Brewing Company: HopArt IPA, 32/50 Kolsch, Seasonals: Rye Not Brown,Blackbeerd Imperial Stout, Red Legs Scotch Ale, Honey Wheat Pale !!
David's been a professional brewer for 10 years now and it's high time we did it for ourselves. David has been homebrewing since 1996 and graduated from the American Brewer's Guild in CA in 1998. We're in a neat sustainable development area on the old navy base. It's on a pretty piece of land on the river that is destined to be a kickin' beer festival locale. We're redoing an old document storage building and we're doing it as green as possible. Habitat for Humanity is the place for bathroom decor ($5 to tile the bathrooms!) and used furniture. We believe there is a time, place and reason for everything and now is the time for this. We've raised our family on local and organic foods and the beer will be the same-it's the only way for us. We're powering the boiler off of biodiesel (from the biodiesel plant where Jaime works) and hope to add solar collector's for the water very soon. We have run the organization, Pop the Cap SC, for the past 2 years. We think the change in law is inspiring people to try new beers and appreciate a good craft beer. It's all coming together nicely. Look for HopArt (IPA) 32/50 Kolsch, and the Chocolate Rye Brown, the first 3 brews.Blackbeerd Imperial Stout and Red Legs Scotch Ale

"Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.." ~ Dave Barry
Cask conditioned HopArt was INCREDIBLE. Thank you guys so much for not only brewing redonkulous beer, but putting on events like this that make Charleston a better place to live for beer nerds like me. YOU ROCK. Keep it up!!
